With Halloween fast approaching, we'd like to remind our residents how to celebrate the spookiest time of the year safely:

  • 🎃 Only trick-or-treat outside.
  • 👻 Don't go trick-or-treating if feeling ill, even if symptoms are minor.
  • 🎃 Minimize contact with others: stay 2 meters (6 feet) apart ando not congregate or linger at doorsteps.
  • 👻 Trick-or-treaters should consider wearing a face covering. Choose costumes that allow a face covering to be worn - make sure you can see and breathe comfortably. Consider building a face-covering into your, or your child’s costume.
  • 🎃 Avoid high-touch surfaces and objects.
  • 👻 Wash hands often and thoroughly or use hand sanitizer.

  • 🎃 Don't hand out candy if feeling ill or isolating.
  • 👻 Consider wearing a face covering that fully covers your nose and mouth.
  • 🎃 Consider using tongs, or other similar tools to hand out pre-packaged candy to avoid handling treats.
  • 👻 Wash hands often and thoroughly or use hand sanitizer.

  • Post these on your door or window to let trick-or-treaters know if you're participating in Halloween this year.
