Quotes:

"The addition of a nurse practitioner to Niagara-on-the-Lake will have a remarkably positive impact on the accessibility and convenience of healthcare services, bridging the gap between patients and healthcare providers. I look forward to the benefits it will bring to Niagara-on-the-Lake." - MP Tony Baldinelli

“This announcement on successfully funding a nurse practitioner right here in the Town of Niagara-on-the-Lake is a perfect example of what we can accomplish when we work together. I want to thank Lord Mayor Zalepa and Town Staff for working closely with my office to highlight the importance of getting a nurse practitioner back in Town and keeping it a priority for the government. I also want to thank Town Council, local media, and residents of the Town for continuing to raise this issue. Ensuring residents have access to high-quality, public health care, when and where they need it, remains a top priority and is a big win for the community.” - MPP Wayne Gates

"Recruiting a new nurse practitioner to join the Niagara North Family Health Team will ensure more people can access the primary care they need, close to home while avoiding unnecessary trips to the emergency room. This exciting milestone builds on the action our government has taken to launch the largest expansion of primary care in our province's history, making it more convenient for our community to connect to care for years to come. Congratulations to the Niagara North Family Health Team and Town of Niagara-on-the-Lake on this exciting accomplishment!" - MPP Niagara West Sam Oosterhoff

"On behalf of Council, we are excited to welcome a nurse practitioner to our community and all the positive impact on our community's health and well-being, providing much-needed medical care to those in need. This is a great step forward in ensuring everyone in our community has access to quality healthcare. Thank you to the Niagara North Family Health Team for their incredible efforts in helping Niagara-on-the-Lake recruit a nurse practitioner." - Lord Mayor Gary Zalepa

"The arrival of a nurse practitioner in our community is a significant step towards ensuring that all residents, as well as non-residents, have access to healthcare. With Niagara-on-the-Lake's senior community making up a large percentage of residents and with an influx of visitors arriving in Town to enjoy the many shops and eateries each year, the Town can now provide the necessary care, resources and support to ensure our community is taken care of." – CAO Bruce Zvaniga
