Resident Parking Permits

Resident Parking Permits are available exclusively to residents of the Town of Niagara-on-the-Lake for a cost of $30 per calendar year.  The permit entitles the permit holder to up to three hours of free parking at any parking meter/pay & display machine in the Heritage District.

To obtain a Resident Parking Permit, please visit the Town Administration Building at 1593 Four Mile Creek Road in Virgil, with a valid piece of identification (i.e. driver’s license, health card, passport, etc.) showing Niagara-on-the-Lake residency. 

To renew an existing Resident Parking Permit, you can visit the Town Administration Building in person or fill out and submit the Resident Parking Permit Form with the $30 online payment. 

**2024 Resident Parking Passes - Available Now**

NEW as of July 25, 2023: A Resident Parking Permit allows up to three hours of parking. If you are planning to park longer than the three-hour limit, you are required to put money in the parking meter.  Your free hours will be added to the amount paid at the meter.  Permits are valid for the vehicle identified, by license plate number, on the face of the permit only, and are non-transferable.  All other parking prohibitions must be observed.

Please note: Permits are valid from January 1 to December 31 of any given year. Residents must purchase a new permit each year.
